The Mosaic Brass Quintet is a versatile and distinctive ensemble performing music spanning five centuries. Included in their repertoire is the music of Bach, Mozart, Wagner, and Debussy, as well as that of Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, and John Phillip Sousa. They can provide the ideal music for ceremonial events, weddings, parties, corporate events, religious services, and concert events. The Mosaic Brass Quintet can fill a large convention hall, outdoor venue, or church with glorious sound and provide more reserved music for atmosphere at intimate occasions, restaurants, and hotels. The MBQ provides a flexible alternative to the string quartet, big band, or orchestra.

No amplification equipment required: only five chairs and plenty of air.

Zachary Lyman (trumpet) D.M.A., University of Iowa; M.M., New England Conservatory; B.M., The College of Wooster; Assistant Professor of Trumpet and Music Theory at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU); performed with New England Philharmonic, Boston Philharmonic, Cedar Rapids, Quad Cities, and Tacoma Symphony Orchestras and Lyric Brass (PLU); featured soloist with Moscow Chamber Orchestra, PLU Wind Ensemble, PLU Orchestra and Choir of the West.

Ed Castro (trumpet) D.M.A., U. of Washington; M.M. Yale University; B.M. Manhattan School of Music; performed with the Seattle Symphony, The Actors Company Theatre Chamber Ensemble, Mannheim Steamroller, Tacoma Symphony, Cascade Festival of Music Orchestra, and on the brass department faculty at Pacific Lutheran University as well as a performer with the Lyric Brass Quintet.

Becky Miller (horn) M.M., U. of Texas; B.M., Baylor U.; performed with the Tacoma Symphony, Disney World College Show Band, Waco Symphony, Midland Symphony, Austin Symphony, Victoria Symphony, The Austin Brass, Eurobrass, Rainier Symphony, the Bainbridge Chorale,and the Washington Wind Symphony.

Keith Winkle (trombone) Principal Trombone of the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra; performs with the Tacoma Opera, Bellevue Philharmonic, Seattle Choral Company, Magnolia Jazz Band, Mosaic Brass Quintet, Washington Brass Quintet, and Lyric Brass Quintet; performed with the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, and Pacific Northwest Ballet.

Paul Evans (tuba) Principal Tuba of Tacoma Symphony Orchestra and Lecturer of Tuba and Euphonium at Pacific Lutheran University; performs with the Northwest Sinfonietta, Bellevue Philharmonic, Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, and Lyric Brass at PLU; studied with Ron Munson in Seattle, Steve Call at Brigham Young University, and Gary Ofenloch at the University of Utah; Principal Tuba of the Boise Philharmonic; played with the Utah Symphony; has been soloist with the Boise Philharmonic, Tacoma Symphony, and Lyric Brass.
